MANCHESTER, N.H. —

A U.S. immigration judge ordered Monday that the mother of White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt's nephew be released from an immigration detention center.

Bruna Ferreira, the ex-fiancée of Michael Leavitt, Karoline Leavitt's brother, will be released on $1,500 bond, her lawyers confirmed. Ferreira shares an 11-year-old son with Mr. Leavitt.

According to Ferreira's lawyers, $1,500 is the minimum cash amount permitted by law.

"We argued that she was not a danger nor a flight risk nor a criminal illegal alien and the government stipulated to our argument and made no argument whatsoever and then waived appeal. We anticipate she will be released from custody in the upcoming hours or possibly tomorrow at the latest," her attorney, Todd Pomerleau said in a statement
