Eleven months later, the bar has been raised. Over the past week, Vrabel has talked about the Patriots playing like "champions" and competing for "championships."

Coming off their bye, Vrabel said this of Sunday’s game with the Bills: "We're just trying to play for the championship that we have available this week, and I think it's a great testament to our players that have put us in this position to be able to do that."
