TUNKHANNOCK TWP. — Three dump trucks valued at $280,000 each were stolen from a dealership in Wyoming County over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, Wyoming County District Attorney Joe Peters announced.
Two unknown actors arrived at Sherwood Freightliner on state Route 6 in a gray BMW XS sport utility vehicle with a burned out passenger side low beam headlamp at about 10 p.m. on Nov. 28. The model year of the BMW is believed to be from 2013 to 2018.
One person wearing dark clothing exited the BMW and walked in front of the dealership before getting into a blue tri-axle dump body truck with a plow, which was moved to access a red tri-axle dump body truck that was driven off the lot last seen traveling east on Route 6, Peters stated.
