Jaylen Brown had quite the week for the Boston Celtics to open December, earning NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors as a result.
Brown won the award for the period from Dec. 1 to Dec. 7. Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray won the Western Conference award.
Brown helped the Celtics go 4-0 last week, although he did miss one of their games with illness.
He kicked off the week with a monster 42-point performance against the New York Knicks last Tuesday, leading Boston to a 123-117 victory at TD Garden. The 42 points were a season high for Brown, who shot 16-of-24 from the field and 8-for-9 from the free-throw line. He also chipped in four rebounds and four assists.
