New Orleans police need help identifying and locating a car wanted in connection with a deadly hit-and-run that happened on Nov. 21.

Police said the crash happened around 5:51 p.m. on Chef Menteur Highway. Advertisement

Investigators are searching for a silver-colored 2007 to 2009 Mercury Sable.

Two pedestrians were hit while attempting to cross the highway near the intersection with Majestic Oaks Drive.

One of the pedestrians died of his injuries, and the other was injured.

The driver of the Mercury fled the scene without stopping and was last seen going eastbound on Chef Menteur Highway.

The car had damage to the front end and displayed a fraudulent Louisiana temporary tag, S2082913.
