BLUEFIELD, W. Va. — Livingstone’s men’s basketball team put a dismal first half in the rear-view mirror, shot 56.5 percent in the second half and won a CIAA road game on Saturday.
Livingstone beat Bluefield State 61-58. The Blues (1-7, 0-1) didn’t have much a home-court advantage as only 87 fans showed up at Ned Shott Gym.
Livingstone (3-4, 1-1) got 20 points from James Nipper, including 9-for-9 at the foul line.
Omarion Bodrick had nine points and seven rebounds. Kevin Tyree made two 3-pointers and scored eight.
Myles Pierre scored 22 for Bluefield State.
