OLIN — West Rowan head coach Dadrian Cuthbertson liked the first few minutes of West Rowan’s game on Friday at North Iredell.

Like old times. Jalen Moten dunked. Then Caleb Queen dunked. Then Josiah Young dunked.

“Three two-handed dunks, and we’re up 6-0,” Cuthbertson said. “And then we couldn’t make a shot, couldn’t make a layup. Not for a long time.”

West trailed 27-21 at the half on the road against an undefeated team.

West got it back together in the second half and took a 65-56 road win. The streaky Falcons (2-3) scored 44 in the second half.
