INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis man signed a plea agreement Monday for shooting his girlfriend and their 10-month-old son while she breastfed the child in their east side home last year.

Jerimiah Eldridge, 22, agreed to plead guilty to two counts of attempted murder in the case and all other charges will be dismissed. He was initially also charged with invasion of privacy and obstruction of justice.

The shooting happened just after midnight Aug. 24, 2024 at a home in the 6100 block of East 21st Street, near North Arlington Avenue. Dispatchers received a call about a possible person shot, then a short time later, got a report of a woman screaming for help.
