Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts threw four interceptions in Monday night’s 22-19 overtime loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, but star wideout A.J. Brown shares the blame for the offense’s struggles.
Brown dropped a potential game-winning touchdown on the last drive of the fourth quarter at SoFi Stadium. He also bobbled a pass over the middle that turned into an interception with 11:03 remaining in the game and let a deep ball slip out of his hands on the opening drive of the first quarter. If he had made those plays, the Eagles might have beaten the Chargers.
“That one hurt,” Brown said about dropping a touchdown. “I’m more than capable of making those plays, and Jalen trusts me in any situation. I made some plays, but I wasn’t great when it mattered.”
