Boo hoo for Notre Dame.

The Fighting Irish's 10-game winning streak was not enough to impress the College Football Playoff selection committee, which is chaired by University of Arkansas Athletic Director Hunter Yurachek.

After opening the season with losses to Miami and Texas A&M, who will play each other in the opening round of the CFP, they beat a bunch of teams that aren't in the playoffs.

No one knows how Yurachek voted or what influence he used -- and they shouldn't -- but he saw the Fighting Irish up close and personal when they pounded the Razorbacks 56-13.

It was Arkansas' most lopsided defeat in a season full of losses.
