Bhubaneswar: The Winter Session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly was on Tuesday adjourned sine die, wrapping up after just 11 working days.

Speaker Surama Padhy made the announcement after government chief whip Saroj Kumar Pradhan moved a motion in this regard, stating that no major official business was left, curtailing a session that was originally planned to run until December 31 with 29 working days on the schedule.

The session had commenced on November 27 with a landmark moment: President Droupadi Murmu delivered an address to the House, the first such instance of a sitting President of India addressing the Odisha Assembly. The event was widely regarded as a historic milestone in the state’s legislative proceedings.
