The Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a series of warnings and recalls on kids' items just in time for Christmas shopping.

Thousands of infant and kids' toys, water bottles and bedding products sold by Amazon, Shein and other popular retailers have been recalled recently for posing serious safety risks, just as the Christmas shopping season arrives.

The products were named in a series of recalls reported by the Consumer Product Safety Commission on Dec. 4 and were sold online mostly throughout 2025. Ranging from tablets to sports tumblers, the impacted products failed to meet U.S. safety standards for issues considered commonly risky to children's health, including battery, magnet and safe sleep regulations.

See the list of recalled kids' products here before you do your holiday shopping.

HyrdoJug 14-ounce Children’s Sport Tumbler

What's being recalled? About 17,000 HydroJug-branded kids' water bottles are being recalled for posing a choking hazard. The 14-ounce Children's Sport Tumbler bottles, which come in patterns Cowgirl, Sports, Daisy Checkers, Dinosaur and Bows, have rivets on the handle that can become loose and cause the handle to detach, creating a choking risk with small parts.

Why are they being recalled? More than 650 reports of the rivets on the handle coming loose were received by the firm as of the Dec. 4 recall notice, though no injuries were reported.

Affected products: The water bottles have serial number 235010 or no serial number on the bottom of the tumbler under the rubber boot. They were sold at Academy Sports, Scheels, Combined Sales Company, Gordons Ace Hardware, Bucks Ace, Kents Grocery, Basin Sports and online at Hydrojug.com, Amazon.com, Well.ca and iHerb.com from May 2025 through June 2025 for about $25.

What to do: Consumers with affected products should immediately stop using the tumblers and contact HydroJug at service@thehydrojug.com for a free replacement lid. Customers will need to provide order details, a shipping address, photos of the bottom of the tumbler, and photos of the recalled lid marked with the word “recalled” before being thrown away to receive a replacement.

KTEBO Writing Tablet Toys

What's being recalled? Roughly 10,380 KTEBO-brand kids' tablets are subject to recall for battery safety issues that could cause serious injury or death.

Why are they being recalled? Button batteries, the tiny, round batteries often found in toys, are known to be exceptionally dangerous to children and pets who can easily ingest them and suffer serious injuries, internal chemical burns and death. The affected KTEBO Writing Tablet Toys have screws that do not follow the mandatory toy standards and may come loose, exposing the button batteries within.

Affected products: The tablets, recalled Dec. 4, were sold in sets of two and came in four color variations (pink/blue, green/yellow, orange/blue, purple/red) and two sizes (8.5 inches and 10 inches) with a matching-colored stylus. They were sold on Amazon.com from September 2025 through October 2025 for between $8 and $30.

What to do: Customers should immediately stop using the recalled tablets and contact KTEBO at writing-tablet-recall@ktebo.com for a free replacement. To receive the new tablets, consumers must write "RECALLED" on the back of the tablets, take a photo and send them to the address above with "Recall Proof" and their name in the subject line.

CreateOn Crayola-branded pip-Cubes

What's being recalled? About 9,400 Crayola-branded toys are being recalled for ingestion risk that can cause serious injury or death.

Why are they being recalled? The Crayola CreateOn pip-Cubes are magnetic building cubes sold in recognizable Crayola packaging. The high-powered magnets on the small blocks may become loose and, if swallowed, can attach to each other within the body and become lodged in the digestive system. Such magnets are known to cause perforations, twisting, and/or blockage of the intestines, blood poisoning and death.

Affected products: The recalled cubes were sold in Bold Colors and Glitter in sets of 24 or 27 cubes. The Bold Colors cubes are red, green, blue and yellow; the Glitter cubes are purple, pink, blue and green and have glitter on them.

“Crayola” is imprinted on the left side of each cube and the model/UPC numbers can be found on the bottom of the product packaging. Recalled UPC models and numbers include:

  • Bold Colors, 24 Cubes: Model # 1000199, UPC 850067300199
  • Bold Colors, 27 Cubes: Model #1000243, UPC 850067300205
  • Glitter Cubes, 24 Cubes: Model #1000205, UPC 850067300205
  • Glitter Cubes, 27 Cubes: Model #1000250, UPC 850067300250

The 24-piece sets were sold at Michael's Stores nationwide and online at Michaels.com for about $20. The 27-piece sets were sold online at Amazon.com for about $35. All sets were sold from May 2025 to July 2025.

What to do: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled magnetic building cubes and remove them from children's reach. They can contact CreateOn at 800-333-0549 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. CT Monday through Friday, pipcuberecall@CreateOn.com or https://www.createon.com/recall/ to receive a free replacement set. CreateOn will supply a prepaid shipping label to return the cubes.

Cubimana Building Toy Sets

What's being recalled? About 40 toy building sets sold on fast fashion retailer Shein have been recalled for violating battery safety standards.

Why are they being recalled? The Cubimana Treehouse Building Toy Sets have a battery compartment that contains button cell batteries that can be easily accessed by children. If ingested, the batteries can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns and death.

Affected products: The recalled sets consist of 618 multicolored pieces to build a three-tier treehouse that lights up with the Cubimana logo and “Tree House” on the front and back of the product packaging, along with “NO. HG1015."

The treehouse sets were sold on Shein.com from July 2025 through October 2025 for about $20.

What to do: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled toy sets, take them away from children, and remove and properly dispose of the batteries. Customers should throw away the piece of the LED light with the battery compartment and send a photo of the product in the trash to shein.us@vatostoys.com for a full refund.

TooyBing Montessori Stacking Toys

What's being flagged? The CPSC also issued a warning for another Shein toy product, though an official recall has not yet been issued. The agency urged consumers to stop using TooyBing Wooden Toys Montessori wooden bead toys immediately, as they pose a deadly choking hazard.

Why was a warning issued? The toys should not be used for children under three, said CPSC, as they violate the small parts ban. CPSC issued a notice of violation to the toy's manufacturer.

Affected products: The multicolored toys consist of 25 pink, blue, red, orange, purple, green, white and yellow wooden beads, two wood sticks with yellow and red laces attached, eight pattern cards and one wooden pegged stand. “TooyBing,” “Montessori Wooden Toy” and “Fun Bead Sequencing Games” are printed on the front of the product packaging and “Model number: TB-MZWJ” is on the back.

The toys were sold online at Shein.com from July 2025 through September 2025 for about $20. They may have also been sold by various third-party sellers and on other websites.

What to do: Consumers should immediately dispose of the toys and report any incidents involving injury or product defect to CPSC at SaferProducts.gov.

Little Pea Shop Crib Bumpers

What's being recalled? About 300 Little Pea Shop-branded Crib Bumpers have been recalled for the risk of suffocation and death.

Why are they being recalled? The bumpers violate the federal ban on padded crib bumpers through the Safe Sleep for Babies Act and can obstruct an infant's breathing, causing serious injury or death because of suffocation.

Affected products: Two styles of Little Pea Shop-branded padded crib bumpers recalled, including the “Waffle Bedding Accessory” style sold as bumper pads in gray, pink, blue and white and in four different lengths: 23.5 inches, 47 inches, 78.5 inches and 94.5 inches. The “Plush Crib Bumper” style, sold as vertical crib slat covers with Velcro in beige and ivory in the shape of bears and rabbits or a star pattern, is also recalled.

The impacted products were sold at the littlepeashop.com from October 2023 through October 2025 for between $30 and $80.

What to do: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled crib bumpers and contact Little Pea Shop at support@littlepeashop.com for a full refund. Consumers will have to remove the crib bumpers, cut the padding and email a photo of the destroyed bumpers to receive their money back.
