Tough decisions loom Tuesday for trustees with London’s fast-growing Catholic school board over proposed cuts to busing for specialty programs intended to rein in spending that have drawn parental blowback.

In Septem­ber, Gabe Pizzuti, chair of the Lon­don Dis­trict Cath­olic board, said he was shocked to learn the board’s budget has a fund­ing short­fall of more than $22 mil­lion . The board’s total 2025-26 budget is $411 million.

Pizzuti this week said that to “move forward responsibly,” the organization “must clearly identify which services are not funded and make informed decisions.”
