As part of a provincewide campaign supporting charitable organizations that tackle food insecurity, members of the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Locals 175 and 633 donated $3,000 this week to Woodstock’s Operation Sharing.
On Sunday, UFCW Local 175 executive board vice-president Kelly Kobitz and union representative Skip Pavlick presented the cheque to Tim Dukes, the executive director of Operation Sharing, during a brief ceremony.

“Donations like this one from UFCW Locals 175 and 633 are the only reason our programs can run. Helping put a roof over head, providing a place to rest, food on tables, clothing on backs and gifts under trees at Christmas,” Dukes said in a media release. “Thank you, UFCW for helping us take care of our community.”
