A Bronx man is facing murder, manslaughter and weapons charges, accused of shooting and killing another man at a public housing complex in the borough Sunday. Police said the incident broke a 12-day streak without a homicide in the city.

Sean Grant, 28, is accused of gunning down Gregory Stewart, 38, around 9 p.m. at a building at NYCHA’s Sotomayor Houses on Watson Avenue in Soundview. According to a criminal complaint from Bronx prosecutors, police took Grant into custody about two blocks away, near the intersection of Rosedale and Westchester avenues, 15 minutes after the incident. He was carrying a loaded 9mm pistol in his pants, the complaint stated.

Police said Grant lived in the building where the shooting occurred, and Stewart lived more than 4 miles away in Wakefield. Officials
