Philip Rivers, the longtime NFL quarterback who last played in 2020, is making a stunning comeback.
The QB-needy Indianapolis Colts (8-5), who have lost three consecutive games, brought him in for a workout on Monday that "went well," per The Athletic's Dianna Russini.
On Tuesday, NFL insider Ian Rapoport shared that Rivers is, in fact, signing with the Colts practice squad , opening the door for a possible start later this season. With Daniel Jones out for the season after suffering a Week 14 torn Achilles and backup Riley Leonard battling a knee injury, the Colts turned to Rivers.
