The top defensive tackle prospect in the 2026 NFL draft has officially declared.

On Tuesday, Clemson star Peter Woods announced that he is entering the draft with a post on social media. Woods ranks as the No. 1 defensive tackle and is a top-15 overall prospect on ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr.'s latest big board.

Woods appeared in 12 games as a true freshman in 2023, earning ACC All-Freshman honors, and he's been a full-time starter over the last two seasons. In his career, he has 84 tackles (41 solo) with 14.5 tackles for loss, five sacks and two forced fumbles.

Woods, who is listed at 6-foot-3, 310 pounds, came in at No. 5 on Bruce Feldman's "Freaks List" for The Athletic entering the season. Now, he becomes one of the draft's top prospects and will likely be a first-round pick come this spring.
