A former standout NFL cornerback randomly admitted to playing games while drunk.
Quentin Jammer, who spent 11 seasons with the San Diego Chargers before finishing his career with the Denver Broncos, posted the admission to social media on Monday.
“True story ....... In 2011 I played completely s--- faced drunk in at least 8 games,” he wrote, adding that his drink of choice was “equila or a good bourbon.”
Jammer, the No. 5 overall pick out of Texas in 2002, recorded no interceptions in 2011. The only other time he failed to do so was his rookie year.
Jammer followed up with several notes after the post began gaining traction, pointing out that his drinking was related to personal struggles such as a divorce.
