Two brothers died after they fell through "thin ice" on a Michigan lake, authorities said.

The Kalkaska County Sheriff's Office said in a news release that deputies were dispatched on Friday, Dec. 6, just before 11 p.m. local time to Island Lake, near Island Lake Road and Dockery Road, for a person "yelling for help on the lake."
