A shooting at Kentucky State University in Frankfort on Tuesday (December 9) resulted in one death and left another person injured. The incident occurred at Young Hall, a dormitory on campus, around 3:35 p.m. The campus is currently on lockdown as police investigate the situation.

Frankfort Police Department officials confirmed that the suspect is in custody . Governor Andy Beshear acknowledged the injuries and expressed his condolences on social media, urging the community to "pray for those affected."
