ROCK HILL, S.C. (WBTV) - Discipline numbers are down in Rock Hill Schools, and district leaders want to keep it that way with a new approach.

On Tuesday, school officials unveiled a new discipline matrix.

WBTV spoke with parents who encouraged the idea of getting even more involved with their kids’ education and behavior in school.

District leaders say this new matrix is taking the district’s current code of conduct and guidelines and making actions more uniform across its schools.

At Tuesday night’s Rock Hill Schools Board meeting, the district’s School Innovation and Student Development Division will present a new Discipline Matrix for grades K-12. This plan, which was developed from September to November of this year, outlines discipline consequences for students’ behavior.
