A former executive assistant with the Michigan State Police has filed suit against the agency's top official, claiming she was demoted and her pay was cut after she mistakenly sent a text that angered top officials with the agency.
The complaint, filed Monday in Wayne County Circuit Court, alleges that MSP Col. James F. Grady held a "petty grudge" against Heather Luebs, an MSP employee since 2003 who had risen to the level of senior executive management assistant.
