COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– President Donald Trump announced a $12 billion farm aid package on Monday, Dec. 9, for farmers impacted by the trade war.
ABC Columbia reached out to SC State Agriculture Commissioner Hugh Weathers and asked how this may impact farmers here in the Palmetto State.
He wrote, in part, “many farmers are worried they may not be able to keep farming next year.
These payments will help keep farmers in business, and the bottom line is that we need farmers.”
