MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — A Montgomery County judge is weighing new information to determine whether or not a mother accused of murdering her two children 10 years ago is fit to stand trial.
On Tuesday, a judge heard arguments to determine if the children’s mother, Catherine Hoggle, is legally fit to stand trial, and will announce his decision on Hoggle’s competency Wednesday at 1:30 pm.
Hoggle is accused of killing Sarah and Jacob Hoggle back in 2014. The children were last seen on Sept. 7, 2014, and their mother was reportedly the last person seen with them.
Their bodies have never been found.
For the past two days, the Court heard from two forensic psychiatrists who were called to present their expertise surrounding Hoggle’s competency.
