About two weeks after the Nov. 25 fatal collision on Interstate 84 that took the life of 7-year-old Graham John Summers, of Meridian, and seriously injured his father, Austin, the family is reeling.

While the pain of losing the oldest of three young boys will most likely never end, they have to get through each day somehow. The community has helped in donating to the two GoFundMe campaigns — one that is for Austin’s recovery from a fractured spine and other injuries, minor injuries to his two surviving sons, and Graham’s funeral; and the other that is to help the boys’ mother Ashley pay bills and help cover funeral costs — to the tune of $101,139, as of Monday afternoon.
