Dec 9 (Reuters) – U.S. President Donald Trump will soon launch a final round of interviews for Federal Reserve chair, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday.
Trump and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent are scheduled to meet with former Fed governor Kevin Warsh on Wednesday, the FT reported, citing three senior administration officials.
The administration officials said that National Economic Council director Kevin Hassett remains in pole position to succeed Powell as chair in May, the newspaper said.
