EVANSDALE, Iowa — Authorities responded to a hit-and-run incident on Tuesday, involving a USPS vehicle on Lafayette Road between Roosevelt Road and Heather Avenue. The driver sustained injuries.
Debris at the scene suggested the suspect vehicle might be a full-sized truck or SUV, with damage to the front passenger side and a missing mirror.
The Evansdale Police Department initially sought assistance from residents with home surveillance in the area.
In an update on their Facebook page about two hours after the incident, Evansdale police announced that the suspected vehicle has been located, thanks to a helpful citizen.
