A Grammy-nominated opera singer was stabbed to death in his Southern California home and police have since arrested his son in connection with the alleged crime.

Authorities discovered Jubilant Sykes, 71, dead with several stab wounds following a report of an assault in progress Monday night, the Santa Monica Police Department said in a press release on Tuesday, Dec. 9.
