A Baltimore man is now linked to two separate shootings that happened two months apart, police said on Tuesday.
Investigators said 20-year-old Davon Matthews was arrested in connection with two unrelated shootings that happened in July and September in Baltimore's Central District.
Police said the first shooting happened shortly before 12:30 a.m. in the 400 block of South Broadway on July 12, 2025, Baltimore Police said.
Officers arrived and found a 24-year-old man with gunshot wounds. Police said the victim was taken to a hospital, and his injuries were considered non-life-threatening.
The second shooting happened after 12:45 a.m. in the 300 block of Light Street on Sept. 14, 2025. police said.
Officers on foot patrol heard gunfire and found an 18-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the arm. Police said he told investigators he “got into an argument with an unidentified individual when he was shot.”
He was taken to a hospital and listed in stable condition.
Detectives arrested Matthews in the 2200 block of Westwood Avenue on Monday, Dec. 8.
Police said he was taken to Central Booking, where he is charged with attempted first-degree murder and first-degree assault.
