RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The man accused of trying to kidnap someone in downtown Reno is being allowed to return to California to await trial.

Diego Noria faces charges of kidnapping in the second degree and false imprisonment, in connection with a November incident . He was in court on November 20, where a judge set his bail at $250,000. That included conditions that he have no contact with the victim, a restriction on owning any weapons, and that he be placed under house arrest.

In today’s hearing, Noria’s defense team requested he be allowed to return to Hesperia, California. Deputy District Attorney Thomas Seric confirmed he could be monitored from there, and did not oppose the motion.

Noria is set to return to court for another hearing on January 20.
