The Mega Millions jackpot rose to $60 million for the drawing on Tuesday, Dec. 9, after no one matched all the winning numbers in the drawing on Friday, Dec. 5 .

If someone matches all six numbers, they will have the option of a one-time cash payment of $37.4 million.

There have been six Mega Millions winners this year; the most recent, in New Jersey on Dec. 2, took home $90 million . That win came short on the heels of a Georgia winner who, on Nov. 14, took home a whopping $983 million .
