The revolving carousel of injured players will see the Edmonton Oilers make a number of roster moves in coming days, said Oilers Now host Bob Stauffer today.
Top 4 d-man Jake Walman will not be ready to start the team’s coming road trip on Saturday in Toronto, so Edmonton will recall a defenceman from Bakersfield of the American Hockey League.
Stauffer did not name the d-man to be recalled, but indicated that the team’s best d-man in Bakersfield was now injured, likey a reference to veteran d-man Cam Dineen, who got called up to the Oilers last year.
“You could foresee a scenario where Jack Roselvic ends up in LTIR at $1.5 million, because they’re going to need to recall a D. And oh, by the way, the best defenseman in the American League is injured right now as well.”
