CITY OF BRANDON INITIATES CITY-WIDE SNOW CLEARING OPERATIONS
As of 2:30 p.m. today, the City of Brandon has received approximately 15 cm of snowfall, triggering a city-wide plowing operation to begin tonight, Dec. 10, at 12 midnight.
Snowfall accumulation, snow density, humidity, fluctuating temperatures, wind velocity and direction, along with the time of year, all influence the City’s response to snow events.
The City uses a priority-based system for street clearing, determined by street classification and traffic volume. Street clearing operations always begin with Priority 1A Route, which includes key streets, sidewalks, and walking paths to ensure safe and efficient mobility for all.
