Pawan Goyal, Chief Business Officer at Naukri.com , said hiring activity in calendar year 2025 has continued to grow at a consistent 6–7%, led by sectors such as travel, tourism, hospitality, real estate and education, marking a clear pickup after the flattish trend seen through 2024.

He noted that the uptrend is being powered largely by non-IT sectors, even though the overall hiring market has traditionally been indexed on the IT (sector). With IT hiring remaining broadly flat year-on-year, diversification beyond IT has held India in good state, Goyal said.
