MeT predicts light snowfall in upper reaches next week
Srinagar : Amid the prevailing dry spell, the cold wave intensified across Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh on Monday, with minimum temperatures plummeting sharply. Reports said that in the Kashmir, Pulwama recorded the lowest temperature at minus 5.1 degrees Celsius, followed by Shopian at minus 5.0 degrees and Baramulla at minus 4.9 degrees. Pahalgam settled at minus 4.8 degrees, while Srinagar recorded minus 3.7 degrees. Other areas recorded: Pampore and Srinagar Airport minus 4.0 degrees, Awantipora minus 4.2 degrees, Budgam minus 4.1 degrees, Qazigund, Bandipora and Kupwara minus 3.6 degrees each.
