In a coordinated late-night operation, Dhubri Police achieved a major breakthrough by arresting two drug traffickers and seizing a sizeable quantity of illicit marijuana.

The operation was conducted by Gauripur police in the Tiamari area along the vital Dhubri–Gauripur link road.

The two arrested individuals have been identified as Bhadra Roy of Paglahat and Dinesh Chandra Roy of Jhagrapar.

Police recovered 4 kilograms and 155 grams of ganja from the duo. Both accused have been taken into custody.

A police source confirmed that interrogation is underway to uncover the wider trafficking network and trace the origins of the seized contraband.

The raid marks a significant step in the Gauripur police’s sustained efforts to curb drug trafficking activities in the region.
