TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - A Pima County man has been arrested again in connection with the disappearance of his vulnerable father in August.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said Vamsi Potiny, 43, was arrested Tuesday, Dec. 9, on charges of manslaughter, kidnapping, and vulnerable adult abuse.

Vamsi was originally charged with just vulnerable adult abuse and endangerment after his father, 72-year-old Sitharamanjaneyulu Potiny, was reported missing on Aug. 29.

A PCSD official said Tuesday that Sitharamanjaneyulu is assumed dead. The PCSD is working with the Pima County Attorney’s Office on moving the case forward. Anyone with information is asked to call 88-CRIME or 911.
