BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - Several residents were treated by EMS Monday, December 9 after a gas leak at The Gables of Spring Creek in Forest, according to Forest Fire Department.

Firefighters responded just after 5:30 p.m. to the apartment complex for reports of a gas leak, with residents complaining of headaches. Nothing was showing from the building, according to firefighters.

Firefighters say the building was evacuated during investigation. The chief began speaking to residents while firefighters investigated the source.

The TL Officer reported high levels of VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) to the point of the monitor alarming.

EMS on scene treated several residents and released all of them, according to firefighters.
