Seventeen years ago, Randy Muth and his wife decided to begin a new chapter by relocating from San Bernardino, Calif. to Clayton County.

After he and his family arrived in Georgia, Muth began serving the community by volunteering at churches and temples. This helped him gain a better understanding of the community’s needs, but he found that there were not many secular organizations providing this type of work.

“I’ve been asking around, like, are there any nonprofits that I could volunteer at? Nobody was providing secular services to the community? So if not me, then who? If not now, then when?” Muth said.
