Two new restaurants are bringing Santa and the Grinch along for their grand opening celebrations this month.

Kanela’s southwest location opened this week at 9912 Illinois Road, offering handcrafted coffee, fresh smoothies and the menu featured at its other Fort Wayne stores.

The new shop is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Kanela will host a grand opening from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at the southwest shop with buy-one-get-one specials on select food items and smoothies. Santa Claus will visit the location from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Oak & Koe opened at 5310 County Line Road West in the former Pickles location on the Whitley County side of the road.
