Jubilant Sykes, a celebrated baritone opera and gospel singer, was stabbed to death at his home on Monday night in Santa Monica, California. Authorities said on Tuesday that his son, 31-year-old Micah Sykes has been arrested on suspicion of murder, The Guardian reported.

The Santa Monica Police Department responded to a 911 call on Monday night after an assault was reported from the residence.
