Powered by 33 points from Ethan Yenser, Boiling Springs boys basketball escaped with a 51-50 home win over James Buchanan on Tuesday.
Yenser splashed six three pointers in the contest and netted 22 points in the second half for the Bubblers.
The Rockets hit Boiling Springs with a balanced offensive attack, as James Buchanan finished with three players in double figures. But the Rockets mustered just nine points in the fourth and could not land a deciding blow.
Logan Swailes led the Rockets with 18 points, two threes, and six of James Buchanan’s nine points in the final quarter. Anden Mickley had 13 points, while Fisher McKee netted 10 points.
The Rockets led the Bubblers 27-23 at halftime but were edged by Boiling Springs 28-23 in the second half.
