In the wake of news that the Hangout Music Fest won’t return in 2026, organizers of Sand in My Boots want you to know that the festival will be back … sometime.
Gulf Shores Mayor Robert Craft announced Monday at a city council meeting that the Hangout Music Fest would not occur in 2026, but that the city would approve an event for 2027.
The more pop-oriented Hangout Fest has history going back to 2010.
In 2024, that festival was replaced by Sand in My Boots, a country-centric festival that was curated by Morgan Wallen but largely produced by the same AEG Presents production team.
Craft’s announcement did not specift what form the 2027 event would take.
