A “Nasha Mukta Mangaluru” (Drug-Free Mangaluru) campaign will be organised on a grand scale with 102 programmes on December 27, 2025, in collaboration with Mangaluru City Police, announced Suhail Kandak at a press conference. The campaign is being organised by the Make a Change Foundation.
The event will be inaugurated by the Hon’ble Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker UT Khader, Dakshina Kannada MP Captain Brijesh Chowta, the Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada, and the Mangaluru City Police Commissioner, along with several other dignitaries. Notably, religious leaders including the Bishop of Mangalore, Swamijis of Ramakrishna Math, and Mangalore Khazis will join the campaign. Popular Tulu actors will also extend their support.
