New Delhi, Dec 10: A bomb threat received at Lovely Public School in east Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar on Wednesday morning led to a rapid emergency response and full evacuation, officials of the Delhi Fire Services (DFS) said.
The call, received around 10.40 am, claimed an explosive device had been planted on the campus. Authorities immediately alerted local police, the fire department and other emergency units.
Multiple fire tenders, bomb disposal teams, dog squads and police personnel were deployed. Students, teachers and staff were safely evacuated, and the premises were secured while searches were conducted, officials said.
“As of now, there are no reports of anything suspicious,” a DFS official stated. (Agencies)
