The Government has said that the work of 160 railway stations has been completed under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
Replying to supplementaries during Question Hour in Lok Sabha today, Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said, more than one thousand 300 stations have been identified for development under the scheme.
He said, the Government is working to improve the passenger amenities at Railway Stations by constructing passenger Holding areas, passenger halls, parking and easy access to the railway stations.
Mr Vaishnaw emphasised that the work of redevelopment of the station is being carried out with a strong focus on passenger safety.
