Mohamed Salah continues to dominate headlines this week after his explosive comments saw him omitted from Liverpool's Champions League squad. He did not travel with his teammates to Italy for Tuesday night's clash with Inter Milan, where Dominik Szoboszlai scored the decisive goal in a 1-0 victory.

With the January transfer window opening in three weeks, Salah is being linked with a move away from Anfield. Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad are reportedly the frontrunners to sign the 33-year-old if he departs Liverpool.

When asked whether Salah had played his last game for the club, manager Arne Slot said: "I have no clue. I cannot answer that question at this point in time. I am a firm believer that there is always a possibility to return for a player. I can leave it with that, I think."
