Four young men in Afghanistan’s Herat province were detained and placed in a rehabilitation program after walking around in public dressed as characters from the British drama Peaky Blinders, according to a report by CBS News, which first detailed the incident.
Citing Afghanistan’s Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, CBS News said the men, known locally in Jibrail township for strolling through the streets in trench coats and flat caps, were accused of “promoting foreign culture."
