The Delhi High Court on Wednesday questioned the Centre for being unable to curtail a situation that led to cancellation of a number of IndiGo flights and subsequent surge in airfares while calling it a “crisis”, PTI reported. A bench of Chief Justices Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Tushar Rao Gedela asked, “Why did such a situation even precipitate? What steps were taken to assist passengers?”
According to the PTI the court asked, “How other airlines could take advantage of the crisis situation and charge hefty sums for tickets from the passengers?”
