Tate Inc. opens new

plant in Pocahontas

Tate Inc., a manufacturer of data center infrastructure, officially opened a new 420,000-square-foot facility Tuesday in Pocahontas.

The Maryland-based company said in a news release that the facility "expands Tate's North American production footprint and strengthens its ability to deliver advanced, high-performance data center solutions at scale."

Tate has also announced the addition of a new product line and a $4 million investment to "support continued growth in the data center sector."

The expansion will create 52 new jobs, bringing the Pocahontas workforce to 200 employees. The factory will make steel frames for data center computers.
